National
Institutes of Health Building No. 10 Infrastructure Study -
Bethesda, Maryland
Project Details
WFT Engineering performed a massive infrastructure study within
a record completion time of six weeks. The project consisted
of evaluating, recommending and providing construction estimates
for the replacement of 8 air handlers, 44 pumps, and 55 exhaust
fans throughout Building No. 10 and ACRF. The study also included
identification of electrical deficiencies in all electrical
closets throughout Building No. 10 and ACRF.
This effort required overnight mobilization, assembling all
resources within the WFT Engineering staff, and organizing
into four distinct teams to accomplish this task. The final
product was well received and is being used by NIH and other
consultants as a reference for related work in the building.
