WFT Engineering was asked to analyze the mechanical infrastructure of this state of the art data center located in Annapolis, Maryland. The original building consists of 130,000 sf. office/data building with the 28,600 sf. data center addition. WFT Engineering analyzed the existing condenser water, chilled water, heating water, airside systems, air-cooled chillers, and the primary and secondary glycol system to determine the cause of the ongoing energy consumption and control problems indicated by the building engineer. WFT Engineering documented the existing piping and equipment, provided flow diagrams, and analyzed the existing control sequence to provide recommendations to improve energy consumption.
