Project Details

WFT Engineering is currently performing Life Safety Analysis and Fire Protection Engineering services for the construction of a new 253,000 sf College of Liberal Arts Building, (CLA), and a 8,000 sf expansion of the Satellite Central Utility Building (SCUB) which will support the growing campus utility demand at Towson University. WFT Engineering Inc is providing engineering design services to Burt Hill as part of the project design team. The CLA project will be designed and constructed in two phases with Phase One housing the administrative staff, faculty offices, and support space as well as the instructional space for the Departments of English, History, Modern Languages, and Philosophy. In addition, Phase One will house a portion of the central support space for the college. Phase Two will house the administrative staff, faculty offices, and support space as well as instructional space for 7 different departments.

The SCUB expansion consists of adding additional electrical switch gear, hydronic chillers for expansion of the chilled water supply system for HVAC use, and additional emergency generator capacity for campus use.
