University Business School Computer Lab, New South Hall
Washington, DC
Project Details
Georgetown University needed 5,000 sf of temporary teaching
and office space for the Graduate School of Business during
the anticipated five year construction period of its new building.
The University tasked Whiting-Turner to fast-track design
build the facility on the ground floor of an existing residential
hall. Whiting-Turner turned to WFT Engineering with the challenge
to quickly design the HVAC systems without benefit of architectural
plans and to assist in the procurement of equipment. WFT Engineering
accepted the challenge, field surveyed the building, created
architectural backgrounds, designed the chilled water air
handling systems, and worked closely with the equipment supplier
to approve submittal data and quick-ship the air handlers.
All of the WFT Engineering work was completed within one week
of the first telephone call.
