Project Details
Washington, DC
WFT Engineering provided mechanical, plumbing, electrical,
and fire protection consulting services for the interior renovation
of this prestigious law firm in downtown Washington, DC. The
first phase of the project included a complete investigation
of this owner occupied 240,000 sf building to document deficiencies
in the engineering systems, development of pricing to address
base building deficiencies, and incorporation of building
upgrades into construction documents for the interior renovations.
This information was used in negotiations for the sale of
the building and budgeting for the tenant allowance. The interior
renovations and base building upgrades were completed in 12
phases while the building was occupied. Our design included
the renovation of partner offices, reception stations and
common areas, as well as new conference center facilities
on the seventh floor and concourse areas. WFT Engineering
is currently working on subsequent designs for restroom upgrades,
cafeteria renovations, and fitness room renovation in the
same building.
Rockville, Maryland
WFT Engineering provided engineering design and study services
for the remote offices of this prestigious Washington, DC
law firm. The project included 20,000 sf of open office space,
electrical design for new systems furniture, and design for
new toilets to meet the projected occupancy requirements.
The project also included a complete analysis of outside air
requirements based on the 2003 International Mechanical Code.
The analysis was followed by the selection and placement of
an additional rooftop unit, design of ductwork, and outside
air analysis.
