WFT Engineering is providing complete mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection design, construction administration, and commissioning services for the new Washington, DC Metro area office of this prestigious international hotel company. WFT Engineering was involved with the design of the project from the early planning stages through the construction phase services of this multifaceted project. The design and construction consists of 125,000 sf of Class “A” law office space in this LEED Gold building. The design consists of a large corporate board room with 7 X 24 supplemental HVAC systems and multi-zone lighting controls. There are numerous other conference rooms throughout the space. Other specialty spaces include IT support space, a LAN Room with 7 x 24 HVAC and uninterruptible power, marketing development areas, a large in-house reproduction center, corporate mailroom, and a lunchroom with specialty lighting. There will also be HVAC controls and audio visual amenities, along with extensive open and private office space. Additionally, the lighting and HVAC design incorporates energy efficient fixtures and equipment allowing the systems to meet the energy consumption requirements mandated by the International Energy Conservation Code. The design has applied for LEED Silver certification.
